Alcohol
Awareness Training
The Bartending Doctor will now
discuss with you how to protect you and your customers from
the harm of alcohol liability laws and how to protect those
customers who may become too inebriated at your bar.
The purpose of alcohol awareness training
programs is to address all major legal issues pertaining to
the sale and service of alcoholic beverages by a licensed
establishment in the USA. They also serve to protect bartenders,
servers, and customers from legal and physical harm.
There are no mandatory requirements for this
training in MOST states in the USA. There are many bartending
schools that offer alcohol awareness training at no cost
or for a small fee for certification under Alcohol Awareness
Training.
The Bartending Doctor recommends that you
take this course at a bartending school so that you will have
an interactive experience in this training. These courses
go by different names such as TAMS, BASSET, TIPS, TABC and
Responsible Vendors Training, and are all taught at bartending
schools nationwide. All offer the same theme of protecting
your establishment, its bartenders, servers, and customers.
